On 10-13th of June 2017, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign affairs Linas Linkevičius had an official visit in Georgia. Throughout the visit, a meeting with students and members of youth non-governmental organizations, including YATA Georgia, was held at Information Center on NATO an EU. Minister talked about challenges and achievements of NATO and EU integration process and expressed support for Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

On the 26th of March 2017 Youth Atlantic Treaty Association of Georgia (YATA Georgia) organized final round of debates tournament in Karl Popper debate format. The main topic of the debate was “Rising nationalism and European security”, with the resolution ” European security should be strengthened due to the increased Neo-Nazism”.

On November 12th YATA-Georgia organized university students conference “Warsaw Summit – Perspectives and Challenges”. Participants presented their papers on the topics from Warsaw Summit Communiqué, including NATO-Georgia relations, migrant crisis, cyber-security, invitee status of Montenegro, etc. Three best presentators, Konstantine Kevlishvili, Kristine Jincheleishvili, Giorgi Shakaia, were awarded special prizes.
