Executive board

Executive Board is the executive organ of the association and consists of the following six members: Executive Director, General Secretary, Deputy Executive Director, Communications Officer, IT Officer, and Analytical Officer.

Executive Board is empowered to make decisions such as:

  • Approval of action plans of the association and then proceeding to hand it to the Supervisory Board;
  • Decisions affecting,  or related to the issues related to the ongoing and planned projects of the association;
  • Comprising the working groups of the association and defining their annual schedule;
  • Regarding the issues with the other aspects of the association’s activities.

Executive Director of the association is the sole person responsible for the representation of the association, who oversees the collective leadership of the organization and acts as a principal leader, presents reports to the Supervisory Council, leads the meetings of the Executive Council/Board, and proceeds to supervise the activities of members.

General Secretary of the association represents the organization in the affairs with local and international non-governmental organizations and several ministries of the government; has the right to participate in international forums and conferences in the name of the organization.

Deputy Executive Director is responsible for the internal communications of the association and distribution of workload and specific roles among the workgroups and members of the organization. Communications Officer is responsible for external communications, as well as the popularization of the aims and tasks of the association.

Information Technology (IT) Officer provides the association with the IT technologies, for instance, photo-video recording of the events, web page administration and others. Analytical Officer is responsible for preparing and providing analytical conclusions and articles for the organization.

Mariam Mgebrishvili

Mariam Mgebrishvili is currently studying Governance and Social Studies at Free University. In 2016 She had an internship at the Administration of the Government of Georgia,  Department of Policy Analysis, Strategic Planning and Coordination, Donor Coordination Unit. Afterwards, in 2017 she continued working as an International Relations Specialist at the Georgian Aviation University (within the program "Study in Georgia" by Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia). While working on previously mentioned position, she took part in MCA training about gender issues. Mariam has actively participated in organizing annual Free University “ART-Weekend”. At present, she is working on her undergraduate thesis.

Giorgi Nadiradze was born in 26.04.1995 in Tetritskaro, Kvemo Kartli, Georgia.

2001-2013 years he used to study at #1 Public School of Tetritskaro. Since 2013 he studies at School of Law of Ilias State University with 70% state scholarship. simultaneously with the study, the activities at miscellaneous organizations. Nowadays he works at 4 local or international organizations: Caucasian Academy of Diplomacy, European Law Students Association (ELSA), International Law Students Association (ILSA).

Member of Directors of Youth Atlantic Treaty Association Georgia- YATA

Owns Georgian, English, Greek and Russian languages.

Rati Bakhtadze graduated from Tbilisi State University in 2013 with a degree in Law (field of International law) and 2015 - Master at International Law (Thesis: “Georgia and NATO – Article 5 of Washington Treaty and Its Come Into Action”).

He has attended numerous international and local training courses and conferences. In 2011-2012, he was the winner of a United Nations Modelling scholarship. He attended assemblies, forums, and round-tables in Canada, Estonia, Belgium, Norway and other countries.

In 2013 he has done two projects in Georgian region about constitutional amendments and human rights. Rati joined YATA Georgia in 2013, 2014-2018 he was executive director.

In 2013-2015 he was working as a legal analyst at NGO “Georgian’s Reforms Associates”, project "www.factcheck.ge".

Currently, he is a chief specialist at Office of Public Defender of Georgia, a Ph.D. candidate in International Law and Secretary General of YATA Georgia.

Rati speaks English and Russian in addition to native Georgian.
