“German-Georgian relations”

On November 4, the third meeting of the Diplomacy Week was held, chaired by Mr. Hubert Knir.

Since 2018, he has been the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia. Mr. Hubert Knirsch has many years of diplomatic and political experience. He has worked at various times in the public sector and embassies in countries such as Germany, Russia, Poland, USA, Georgia, etc. He began his diplomatic career after graduating from the Federal Foreign Office Diplomatic Academy in Berlin.

The topic of the meeting was: “German-Georgian relations”

During the meeting, Mr. Hubert Knirsch spoke about the past and modern history of German-Georgian relations (political, cultural, economic, educational, etc.). During the meeting, he provided important information to the project participants about the areas in which the German side is actively involved in Georgia. During the question-and-answer session, Huber Knirsch shared his diplomatic experience, the challenges and successes he encountered in his personal experience, and concluded: “Diplomacy works this way, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.”

The project “Diplomacy Week” is dedicated to the Day of Georgian Diplomacy, which is celebrated on November 3. Meetings will be held within the project by Georgian and foreign diplomats.
