“Lithuanian-Georgian relations”

On November 7, the seventh meeting of the Diplomacy Week was held, chaired by Mr. Andrews Kalindra.

Since 2020, he has been the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Georgia. Mr. Andrews Kalindra has many years of diplomatic experience in various state structures or international organizations in Georgia, as well as in Russia, Austria, Lithuania, etc.

The topic of the meeting was: “Lithuanian-Georgian relations”

During the meeting, Mr. Andrews Kalindra spoke about the close cooperation between the two countries, as well as expressed the readiness of Lithuania to support Georgia in the process of Euro-Atlantic integration. During the conversation, the Ambassador focused on the areas of cooperation with Georgia, which are a priority today, in particular, on bilateral political, military, Euro-Atlantic integration, economic and infrastructural development. The mentioned meeting aroused great interest among the students. Their questions focused on topics such as Lithuania’s experience as a NATO member, cooperation in military and Black Sea exercises, access to education in Lithuania, ambassador’s diplomatic experience, and climate crisis.

The project “Diplomacy Week” is dedicated to the Day of Georgian Diplomacy, which is celebrated on November 3. Meetings will be held within the project by Georgian and foreign diplomats.
