An online public lecture on “What does the Abashidze-Karasin format mean?” Was organized by the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association of Georgia (YATA Georgia).
The speaker of the public lecture was the Special Representative of the Prime Minister for Relations with Russia, Mr. Zurab Abashidze.
The first part of the meeting focused on the role of Russian policy in Georgia’s foreign policy process, and Mr. Zurab spoke about his experiences and views.
The second part was dedicated to the question-answer mode, where the participants could ask interesting questions.
The educational activities of Mr. Zurab Abashidze are also noteworthy. He holds a PhD in Political Science and, until 2012, was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Benelux countries and has been Georgia’s Head of Mission to the European Union and NATO. Mr. Zurab is also engaged in pedagogical activities and is the author of numerous scientific papers and books.
His scientific papers deal with such issues as: conflict resolution, NATO-Georgia relations, the Cold War era, the Soviet Union, etc.
