NATO Talks

The Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA) of Georgia organized “NATO Week” dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of NATO. During the meetings were discussed issues about NATO-Georgia cooperation and were held public discussions.

Lectures were led by the experts and the representatives of the relevant field.

March 31, 19:00 – Colonel Gintaras Baghdonas, NATO Military Liaison Officer at the NATO Liaison Office in Georgia;Topic: “Defense and Society”.

April 1, 19:00 – Lasha Dzebisashvili, Doctor of Political Science, Associate Professor at the University of Georgia. Co-founder of the Georgian Strategic Analysis Center (GSAC);Topic: “NATO-Georgia Cooperation in Aspects of Political-Military Compatibility”.

April 5, 16:00 – Nika Chitadze, political scientist; Expert in International and Security Issues;Topic: “NATO’s role in the country’s economic development.”

April 6, 19:00 – Lieutenant-Colonel Lasha Davitadze, Head of the Military Strategy and Force Planning Division of the J-5 Strategic Planning Department of the General Staff of the Defense Forces of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia;Topic: “The importance of peacekeeping missions in developing the country’s defense capabilities and ensuring world security.”
