On April 2nd the final round of Debats about NATO was conducted at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University organized by YATA-Georgia in a close cooperation with the Association of Young Initiators.
On March 26, the special training in “Techniques of Public Speaking” was conducted at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University that was organized by YATA-Georgia. The training was implemented within the framework of the Farewell competition address and the presenter was Ms. Gvantsa Sivsivdze
On march 20 the preparatory phase of the debate competition on the issue of “the NATO’s enlargement policy” was conducted at the Free University of Tbilisi that was organized by the YATA-Georgia. The event focused on two directions: The British Parliamentary debate format and the aspects of the NATO-Georgia relations.
The presenters were: Mr. Ilia Kardava and Mr. Erekle Gorgodze on the Debate issues and the head of the Atlantic Council of Georgia Mr. Giorgi Muchaidze on NATO issues.
Farewell Address of NATO Secretary General – Essay and Public speaking competition
YATA Georgia with the supports of Information Center on NATO and EU and The Embassy of Romania in Tbilisi, in a capacity of NATO Contact Point Embassy in Georgia (CPE) presents Farewell Address Competition.
Participants will pick one certain secretary general from the time of the establishment of NATO to the very recent and will be asked to write two-page farewell address for him, which will mainly be the summary of the events, achievements or failures that have happened during that period of NATO’s history. On February 25, 2016 the second training was conducted for the future members of YATA Georgia in Leadership Skills and Public Speaking Specifics. The event took place at the Nato Liaison Office in Georgia. The course was lead by Shalva Sabauri, PhD in Conflict Analysis and Management at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, the President of Student Government at above-mentioned university, and the member of the Discussion Board at the office of the President of Georgia.
On February 22, 2016, the training program in capacity Building for the candidates of Youth Atlantic Treaty Association was launched at the NATO liaison office in Georgia that was organized by the YATA-Georgia. The first training highlighted the key trends in grants proposal writing, grant seeking and identifying donor priorities. The presenter of the course was the Founder and Director of the Career and Recourse Development Centre (CRDC) – Tamar Gogadze.
