On November 4, the third meeting of the Diplomacy Week was held, chaired by Mr. Hubert Knir.

Since 2018, he has been the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia. Mr. Hubert Knirsch has many years of diplomatic and political experience. He has worked at various times in the public sector and embassies in countries such as Germany, Russia, Poland, USA, Georgia, etc. He began his diplomatic career after graduating from the Federal Foreign Office Diplomatic Academy in Berlin.

On November 4, the fourth meeting of the Diplomacy Week was held, chaired by Mr. Levan Izoria.

Since 2020, he has been the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Federal Republic of Germany. He has many years of work experience, both in state structures and in the academic field. At various times, Mr. Levan held senior positions in government agencies: he was the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the Minister of Defense of Georgia, and also the Secretary of the National Security Council.

On November 2, the second meeting of the Diplomacy Week was held, chaired by Mr. Giorgi Janjgava.

Since 2018, he has been the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Turkey. He has many years of experience in diplomatic activities. He has worked in various central positions in the Central Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and abroad, in the diplomatic missions of Georgia. He was awarded the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in 2007.

Mr. Alex Petriashvili is a Senior Fellow at the Rondell Foundation. He has 20 years of diplomatic experience, during which he represented the country in bilateral and multilateral formats.

The project “Chronicles of the August War” is completed

The cycle of lectures of the 3-week educational program, which is connection with the 2008 Russia-Georgia war has ended. The project was developed by YATA Georgia for the students from the region or the capital. The aim of the project “Chronicles of the August War” is to raise the awareness of schoolchildren about the August war, to get acquainted with the situation in the Russian hybrid war and the occupied territories, as well as to develop critical analysis skills.
