On May 8, a panel discussion on “Political and Legal Assessment of the Russo-Georgian War of 2008” was organized by the YATA Georgia and Student Club “Political Science Association” of the University of Georgia.
The first part of the panel discussion was devoted to the analysis of Russia’s methods of hybrid war against Georgia, the second part was devoted to the legal assessment of Russian aggression.
YATA Georgia organized a Championship in Karl-Popper format debate, topics were about International Relations, Politics, Security, Current Conflicts.
The project allowed participants to show their abilities, develop creative and analytical thinking, learn effective time management and teamwork, meet new and interesting people, learn debate techniques and refine public speaking skills.
Tbilisi Runs For Heroes was a project that aimed to honour the memory of the heroes who died for the integrity of Georgia. We planned to renovate the park in Avlabari and erected monuments for the heroes with collected money, in cooperation with the Tbilisi City Hall. The purpose was to create a place where people had the opportunity to relax with their family members and never forget the heroes who kept freedom of Georgia.
On May 26-29 of 2017 spring session of NATO Parliamentary Assembly was held in Tbilisi, Georgia. Volunteers of the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association of Georgia (YATA Georgia) actively contributed to organizing the session.

On the 26th of March 2017 Youth Atlantic Treaty Association of Georgia (YATA Georgia) organized final round of debates tournament in Karl Popper debate format. The main topic of the debate was “Rising nationalism and European security”, with the resolution ” European security should be strengthened due to the increased Neo-Nazism”.
